Brain: future of video games - innovation
This is going to be a post where I'm not just linking to some internet weirdness. I have some projections on Video Games' future. It's an idea and it's big.
Controllers are getting smarter. Wii remotes, PS Move controllers, even your standard joypad can do a ridiculous amount of things, lots of buttons, gyroscopic capture, motion control, light detection.
Is it so wrong to think that the next BIG thing for controllers is having a more... individual controller? Allow me to explain. When you play any local multiplayer game, all the sound comes out of the TV or any other speakers. You all have to share the same sounds, meaning you can screen watch, or just know where your shots are going.
Imagine if sound came through your controller. Using headphones, it could connect to the player. You could have most of the music, back ground noise, come through the speakers, then more neccessary things for competitive play come out of the controller.
Consoles are getting smarter, and more powerful. Imagine combining the controller sound system, with 3D noise. Suddenly, you have a very very clever controller, and the experience of the user of that controller is like noone elses. I appreciate that it may not work with all controllers - when you're waggling your Wiimote about, headphone yankage could be an issue, but I truly believe that individual controllers are the future. Some companies have already looked into this a little bit...you can use your PSP to play certain PSP and PS3 games on the PS3, meaning your smart individual controller is usable on a console system. This idea needs to be exploited.
Just my idle thoughts, feel free to comment.

ears, feet to tap with: Puff Daddy
Sean Combs / P Diddy / Puff Daddy / Diddy Dirty Money has released some new material under a new name ( DDM), and it's pretty good. However, it will never top this classic:

Funny bone: Simon Pegg
This is a clip from a show called "Big Train". It is rather amusing, and features one of my favourite actors, Simon Pegg, and an interesting approach to creating Radio Comedy.

Nervous system: Myself & Mr. Colin Byrne
Prepare yourselves, readers. Myself and Mr Colin 'burn baby' Byrne were busy in the studios recording some bits and bobs for The Park, and Forest FM - two local community stations. Demos have been sent off, and we look forward to hearing their responses - be assured I will let you all know what they have to say.

Eyes & Ears: Colin Murray with Spinal Tap
By far my favourite broadcaster of all time, and my inspiration, Colin Murray got me into radio with his light hearted evening show. Broadcast on Radio One Ten PM through to Midnight, Colin took me through many a sleepness night with his sheer passion for music. One of my favourite interviews was one with Spinal Tap. View it here:
